Azureus Reborn!

A new version of Azureus, Azureus 3.0 or Azureus Vuze, has been released! I must say, it's not only a great BitTorrent client, but it looks slick with that new black theme to it. Of course, if you don't like the new look, you can easily switch back to the classic Azureus look.

BTW, if you want the Windows XP theme in the screenshot, just go to the Miscellaneous section and download it (Royale Noir). It's a great theme for those who don't want to upgrade to Vista for whatever reason.

Nintendo Wii, THE Next Generation Console!
Sunday, February 18, 2007, 07:41 PM - Games
Well, about a week ago I finally got a Nintendo Wii. Man, was the thing hard as hell to find. I had to call at least 10+ GameStops and EBGames. I also called numerous Walmarts and Targets. Finally I called a BestBuy and they happened to just have gotten a new shipment 1 hour ago, so they had 25 Wiis left. Of course I made haste down to the BestBuy and when I got there, only 8 were left. Phew! It was worth it though, in the end.

The Wii is very innovative. It is the first home gaming console to bring interactive gaming as an integration (unlke Time Crisis where you have to buy a separate gun controller). All games work seamlessly with the wireless Wii mote. For example, in order to slash with your sword in Zelda, you simply wave the remote around. Also, it makes for some interesting gameplay with Wii sports, where you actually have to pretend like you are batting in baseball or playing tennis.

Currently, I've only been playing Wii Sports (comes with the console) and Zelda: Twilight Princess (Awesome game). Both are a blast to play, especially playing Wii Sports with other people. Wii sports comes with 5 games, Bowling, Boxing, Tennis, Baseball, and Golf. My personal favorite is tennis.

Another thing I loved about the Wii were the channels. Channels are kind of like TV channels, in that when you start up the Wii you can view all your channels (like the game channel, Mii channel (for creating your own characters), Internet browser, or even a news channel. This allows for very interesting side things that you can do, such as checking the weather forecast, news, or even surfing the Internet.

If anyone plans to get a Nintendo Wii, make sure to Twilight Princess, or you will be missing out.
